WATCH: Seattle's own Ken Jennings clues us into the new Celebrity Jeopardy!

Seattle Refined host Gaard Swanson gets the inside scoop on Celebrity Jeopardy! from host Ken Jennings, a proud Seattleite. Season 2 of Celebrity Jeopardy premieres Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Jennings' connection to the game started as an "at-home" player. But when he earned a spot as a contestant, Jennings was even more at home and stayed for an unprecedented 74 games, garnering more than $2.5 million. Since 2004, Jennings has competed in several Jeopardy! tournaments and battles. In July 2022, Jennings and Mayim Bialik were announced as the hosts of Jeopardy! to carry on the legacy of longtime beloved host Alex Trebek. Jennings said he tries to "mimic a Trebekkian rhythm" in his clue-reading, a cadence that helped him as a contestant.

When he's not hosting the iconic game show, Jennings resides in Seattle with his family.
