Let's Go Places: Sail on Puget Sound

One of the privileges of living in the Seattle metro area is the ability to travel by land and sea. Here, when the roadway becomes a waterway, there are ferries to take pedestrians and drivers to where they want to go. One of those ferry routes goes from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, just a 35-minute boat ride from the city but a world away from the hustle and bustle.

Whether taking a day trip, spending the weekend on the island, or commuting to and from work, the Bainbridge Island ferry is a unique way to do any of those things. If you don't want to walk on, you can easily drive, park on the base level of the ferry, and then hang out while you sail over to the other side.

Because travel methods are so flexible here in the PNW, it's only fitting that you have a vehicle that's similarly capable and versatile. The 2023 Toyota Highlander Limited has the space for your family and friends, the comfort for hours on the road, and the power to withstand uneven terrain, poor weather, and more. Come explore it with us!

Performance

The Highlander Limited is powered by a new 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder engine that delivers 265 horsepower and up to an estimated 29 miles per gallon rating on the highway (this increases to the mid-30 mpg range with the hybrid edition). The available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive provides superior responsiveness and traction by sending extra power to the rear wheels when necessary. If you need to haul a heavy load, the Highlander has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. For extra flexibility, the Highlander Limited allows the driver to toggle between Eco, Normal, and Sport Mode. Available Multi-Terrain Select customizes the vehicle's performance even further with specific modes for mud and sand, rock and dirt, snow, and normal conditions.

Exterior and interior

This SUV belongs in the city and the country. It strikes the perfect balance between power and refinement with a low profile, sculpted body, LED headlights, 20-inch chrome-finished wheels, and power-folding mirrors.

The interior is all luxury. Just some of the highlights include a power tilt moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and third-row seating so your passengers can spread out.

Technology

Parking and reversing have never been easier with the available Panoramic View Monitor that offers a 360-degree overhead view when driving at low speeds or reversing. The Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking feature also warns the driver of incoming objects and may automatically apply the brakes to avoid a collision.

The interior is loaded with tech too. The 12.3-inch audio multimedia display is raised in the center of the dashboard and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Behind the wheel, you'll see a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster.

The Highlander Limited also features Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging, a height-adjustable hands-free power liftgate that opens with a wave of your foot underneath the back of the vehicle, and a JBL audio system with 11 speakers to blast your favorite tunes or podcasts.

Safety

Always feel secure in the Highlander with the standard active safety package called Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. This includes features like the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Automatic High Beams. Beyond that, you can rely on the Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to notify you when vehicles are approaching from places you can't see.

So, what are you waiting for? Your next adventure awaits in the 2023 Toyota Highlander Limited, which starts at $48,225 MSRP.
