Health is especially critical on Mars, so all prospective residents must be vaccinated in the absence of a medical contraindication to the contrary.

Developed countries

The "developed countries" are the United States and its territories, Canada, the United Kingdom and its Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories, members of the European Union and their respective overseas territories, Norway (including Svalbard), Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, San Marino, Vatican City, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia and its external territories, and New Zealand.

Vaccination requirements for residents of developed countries

In addition to the requirements of residents of specific developed countries listed below, every prospective resident who originates from a devloped country must be vaccinated against:

In the absence of a medical contraindication against such vaccines or evidence of having recovered from the diseases.
